Full description
This well presented, one bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a purpose built block of flats, located within a quiet cul-de-sac nestled perfectly between Battersea Park and Clapham Old Town is available now chain-free. The flat features a modern kitchen, stunning bathroom and a large dual aspect reception room with plenty of dining space and storage. This is an excellent opportunity for a first time buyer.
Silverthorne Road is located just off Queenstown Road and the property is ideally placed to enjoy the regeneration currently taking place at Battersea Power Station offering an abundance of restaurants and leisure facilities by the new American Embassy. Queenstown Road itself features many bars, restaurants and shops and is moments from both the open green spaces of Clapham Common and Battersea Park. Lavender Hill is also just a short walk away which adds to the number of bars, restaurants and amenities on this properties doorstep.
Clapham Junction, Queenstown Road and Battersea Park mainline stations are within close proximity of this stunning property so you can be in Victoria or Waterloo in just a few minutes and the house is within walking distance to the new Battersea Power Station Underground Station (Northern Line). The 137 bus route runs over Chelsea Bridge to Sloane Square, Knightsbridge and the West End.
Some words from the owner:
What do you love most about your home?
The bathroom! Turning it into a proper relaxation sanctuary was high on my priority list, and it's a great bath to soak in and switch off from the world. That and how bright & spacious the flat feels, it gets a lot of light and manages to never get too hot in summer nor too cold in winter.
Why are you selling?
I'm moving in with my boyfriend over in Essex; I'm looking forward to the move but sad to leave London, and this flat after a great 8 years of living here.
What do you love about the area?
The location really is incredible. Battersea Park with the newly developed Power Station and Clapham Common / Old Town are equidistant walking, meaning there's Cher Thai and other great food options nearby. The transport links here are excellent - with Queenstown Road, Battersea Park Station, Clapham Junction, Wandsworth Road, Clapham Common, Battersea Power Station, Vauxhall, Nine Elms and Sloane Square all 10-20 minutes away the connections in, out, and around London are something I'll definitely miss.
