Full description

We are proud to offer to the market this elegant, five bedroom Victorian semi-detached house, offering 2,551 square foot of living and entertaining space, spanning over four floors, located within the Lansdowne Conservation Area. The house enjoys many original period features such as original ceiling mouldings, high ceilings and large sash windows throughout allowing it to be flooded with natural sunlight as well as off-street parking.

As you enter you are greeted by a fantastic double reception room on your right with a further family room and conservatory to the rear which looks out over the stunning 89 foot private garden. On the lower-ground floor you will find a sizeable kitchen/ dining area looking out to the paved area of the garden, separate bedroom/ office, bathroom and an abundance of storage. The second and third floors provide two double bedrooms and separate bathrooms. All five bedrooms are genuine doubles with the front aspects looking out over the picturesque street below.

Lansdowne Gardens is located between Stockwell and Vauxhall, close to the open spaces of Larkhall Park and on the fringes of the exciting Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station redevelopment area. The closest tube stations can be found at Stockwell (Victoria Line) which is a 10 minute walk away and Nine Elms (Northern Line) which is an 12 minute walk away. Local bus services, provide quick and easy access into the City, West End and Canary Wharf.

Some words from the owner:
What do you love most about your home/property?
I love the wonderfully spacious rooms with the high ceilings and the open gas fires. The house is extremely quiet and surrounded by lots of green trees despite being in the heart of London. The big garden is great and the soil is very rich- the same quality as Kew Gardens.

Why are you selling?
My husband passed away, my children grew up, so I need to downsize.

What do you love about the area?
We moved here for my son's school commute (Westminster school) and it's very easy to get to Central London. I'm spoiled with friendly neighbours (who work at Buckingham Palace, St Thomas Hospital, Westminster School, House of Parliament, MI5 etc.). It's also within walking distance from the Victoria Line, Northern Line and Vauxhall British rail station.
