Full description

An attractive and unique one bedroom flat, set back from the road in Tulse Hill. This property has a great deal of charm and it is fantastically presented.   What the owner says:   What do you love most about your home?   It′s a unique building on a really nice road. It′s incredibly quiet (helping being set back from the road as well as being on the top floor) and the inside of the house always gets comments on how grand it is. The flat itself is a larger than average one bed with great storage options. It has a second reception room that we′ve used as a reading nook and dining room during our time there and is great when you don′t want to watch the same thing on TV! The walk-in wardrobe was also a selling point for us, not only as it was unheard of in any other flats we saw when we were buying but it meant we could retain more space in the bedroom. We loved the fact that it had a unique character all of it′s own and it wasn′t like every other flat you see - perfect for first time buyers looking for character.   Why are you moving?   We are moving as we recently got married and are looking to move a bit further out to get some extra space and start a family. We also want to be closer to parents.   What do you love about the area?   One of the key factors for us was the amazing transport links that Tulse Hill offers - we are within walking distance to three main stations. Under 10 mins gets you to Tulse Hill Station which gets you to central London in 20 minutes (via Farringdon/Blackfriars or London Bridge). 15 mins then gets you to West Norwood or Streatham Hill station which gets you to London Victoria in about 20minutes again. On top of that it′s a short bus ride to Brixton to get the tube. There are also excellent amenities on the doorstep. At the bottom of the road there is a small high street for any quick shops the Co-op in particular is great and there is a really nice independent beer and wine shop. Just up the road in West Norwood there is a brand new Picture house cinema as well as more shops. Every 1st Sunday of the month they also host a street festival that has food, crafts and local shops and is great for feeling part of the community. There are also some really lovely independent restaurants nearby, a personal favourite is the recently opened 400 Rabbits on West Norwood High Street. In addition to that there are 3 really great pubs within walking distance of the house. In Tulse Hill there is Tulse Hill Hotel and The Railway both of which have great outdoor gardens whilst in West Norwood there is Knowles of Norwood. The area also benefits from a plentiful supply of green areas with a park just behind the house as well as Brockwell Park or Streatham Common just around the corner. Brixton and Herne Hill are also a short ride away for more restaurants, nightlife and tube access.   The Modern Way To Move   Estate agency is stuck in the past, Nested′s mission is to empower people to make the move they want, when they want.
