Some words from the owners:
What do you love most about your home/property?
We love the location. We are less than a 10 minute walk to Clapham Junction for quick access to work and the centre whilst also having the benefit of the bars, restaurants and shops of St John's Hill and Northcote road on our doorstep. There is a range of green spaces within walking distance which is great for our energetic dog.
The flat benefits from direct access to the garden, which is a great private space for entertaining in the Summer months. We also loved that we got our own entrance, making it feel more like a house than a flat. We loved the space the hallway gives, making the flat feel very spacious.
Having a share of the freehold means we could be involved in making decisions about what is done to the property, when and by who. This was reassuring when we first bought and were worried about unexpected service charges. The flat owners all have a good relationship and work collaboratively to upkeep the property.
Why are you selling?
We moved into the house as a couple. Our family has grown, with a dog and new baby so now we need more space to grow into. If we could stay, we would!
What do you love about the area?
St John's Hill has really developed since we moved and now has a wide range of great restaurants, pubs and bars. During the summer they all have outside seating so you can enjoy the sunshine. Close by is Northcote Road, with brunch spots like Cafe Tamra, Breakfast Club and a number of other restaurants and shops. The location means we can also walk into Wandsworth, which has more high street shops and things to do like the cinema and Gravity. There are also a number of easy walks, either around Clapham or Wandsworth common or along the river to the newly developed Battersea Power Station or in the opposite direction to Putney.
