Property Description

Nested is delighted to offer this well extended and stylish three bedroom family home in this leafy residential area. The house has been renovated to a high standard throughout with a stunning open plan living/kitchen space with exposed brickwork. The modern fitted kitchen has ample dining space including an eye catching breakfast bar and a polished concrete floor. A full range of floor to ceiling windows and doors in this room open up to the well maintained south west facing garden and home office off the garden. The house has a wealth of original features including feature fireplaces, cast iron radiators, under floor heating and beautiful high ceilings. The modern hallway leads through to the formal reception room at the front of the house with built in storage, more exposed brickwork in the downstairs WC and stairs that lead down to a double bedroom with its own shower room. Up to the first floor we have a stunning main bedroom at the front with feature fireplace and built in storage, with a lovely modern four piece family bathroom and further double bedroom at the rear of the house. There is also a boarded loft which is great for storage but can also be converted subject to planning permission.

Inman Road is a popular residential road just off Earlsfield Road and Garratt Lane with its abundance of local shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Within a short walk you have Southside shopping Centre with many more shops and a Waitrose. This is a vibrant and well served area which has a village feel but also provides important links to both Central London and getting out of the city, with the connections at Earlsfield mainline station. Within walking distance to many local green spaces, the closest being Wandsworth Common with its café, ponds, playgrounds, ample sports facilities including football pitches, cricket and tennis courts, as well as many running and cycling routes. Local bus routes can take you over the river to Fulham within 10 minutes or south to Wimbledon and beyond. Northcote Road and Bellevue Parade are also within a half hour walk, perfect for brunch at the weekends.

What do you love most about your home?

Being end of a terrace means we get so much light on 3 sides of our house We designed our extension to really maximise light throughout the house regardless of the season. Glorious morning rays in the bed rooms through to the afternoon and evening sun in our garden and dining room/kitchen.  Perfect for entertaining on summer's evening, opening the doors wide and the children love the space too. If it all gets a bit too hot (like this Summer!) there is the bedroom suite in the gorgeously cool basement!- Bliss! Our house is also very quiet; there is very little passing traffic. We also unusually benefit from off road parking which is dull but really, really useful!

Why are you moving?

We love London and particularly our neighbourhood community, but we both grew up in the countryside and wanted the same opportunity for our Children. Our jobs are no longer dependant on a commute to Central London, so we have taken the difficult decision to move Schools now rather than later, having found an area we love with a School we also love for the next stage of our lives. We met and got married living in this house and had our children here too, so this home is really special to us.

What do you love about the area?

Where to start.. We love Earlsfield SO much! Lockdown really confirmed for us the strength of community and friendship we are surrounded by across our group of local roads; we shared milk and veggie deliveries amongst neighbours on our road and beyond when we couldn't get supermarket deliveries and ordered incredible meals and gelato from local businesses who would hand deliver to our doorstep and ask after us and our children. We love the mix of independent and high street brands that we get in Earlsfield, from the local independent shops on Garratt Lane like Dugard the butcher, Lark for cards and gifts and coffee shops like De Rosier (who look for a nod to 'your usual?') and Bean and Hop and Eclectic Collection for amazing brunches and dinner club evenings. There is an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants (former Master Chef winner running The Jolly Gardener, great selection of Pizza & beer at the Grosvenor). As parents to two young children, 4 and 6 we feel so lucky to have such great primary schools in catchment like Swaffield School and Floreat. We are 10 minutes from central London and all the open green spaces and the larger parks of SW London- Wandsworth Common with Skylark cafe in walking distance and Canizzaro (a hidden gem) and Wimbledon Common a short drive away. But what we and the children will definitely miss the most will be Elisa and Fabiano at Cremoloso two roads away- easily the best and friendliest Gelato in London.
