The property is superbly located in a quiet residential road close to Tooting Bec station, providing excellent links into Central London. There are an array of shops, bars, restaurants and amenities close-by, and underground stations at Balham and Tooting Broadway also within just a short distance.  The area is also well served by excellent local schools and the open spaces of Tooting Bec itself, with its famous Lido.

What the seller says:

What do you love most about your home?

I love the original features especially the fireplaces, each of which is different. The sitting room and kitchen/diner are probably my favourite spaces as they have a warmth that makes them ideal for entertaining. My perfect haven is the top floor master suite which has a light, spacious feel and an ensuite that I overspent on to give it a luxury, bespoke look.

Why are you moving?

I've lived here for over 16 years and feel it's time for a change of area. Honestly, if I could pick the house up and move it somewhere else I would.

What do you love about the area?

Three commons (Tooting, Wandsworth & Clapham) for dog walking virtually on the doorstep; great transport links, Tooting Bec tube station is about a 2 minute walk and Balham station for overground access is nearby too; and there are a plethora of bars and restaurants to choose from to suit all budgets and tastes (many of which are dog-friendly too). The street itself is really friendly, we had a WhatsApp group set up several years before lockdown, and everyone shares local info and helps out where needed. It's got a great community spirit.
