What do you love about the property? We love the high ceilings and how spacious it makes the place feel. Thanks to the huge windows there's an incredibly light and airy feel, and we're lucky to get sunlight throughout the day, due to the south-westerly aspect. As we're ground floor, we added plantation shutters to all windows to allow for privacy and they're also a beautiful feature we absolutely love The ample storage has been another plus for us, particularly with two small children! But the real selling point was the fact we access our property through a private and gated front door, rather than through a communal entrance. This also means we have a lovely private garden - which is rare in this development. We have made the best use of it by creating a seating area which gets sun throughout the summer and is a peaceful place to enjoy lunch or just relax. We also love that the property comes with a car park space, as on-road parking is not possible in this area. Finally, the feature we feel most proud of is our bespoke book case, which we designed and had made when we first moved in.
Why are you moving? The only reason we are moving is that we have two small children (and a third on the way!) so we require a bit more space!
What do you love about the area? This quiet part of Camberwell has been an absolute joy to live in. We moved here in 2013 - living first on the beautiful Addington Square, not far from here - and haven't left since. It has everything you'd want from a local area - great pubs and independent restaurants walking distance in Camberwell (the award-winning Camberwell Arms in particular is a favourite). Two local cafes - including the fantastic Fowlds which we'll miss enormously - a minute away in the beautiful Burgess Park, which also has tennis courts, table tennis, and a great park run which operates every Saturday.
The area is perfect for young professionals who will enjoy the eateries and pubs of Camberwell, or young families, with an incredibly vibrant and friendly community that has lots to offer children. Transport-wise, we're a 10 minute walk away from Elephant and Castle tube, or a 15 minute walk in the other direction from Denmark Hill overground. We are also well served by numerous bus routes which run down Camberwell Road. As a cyclist, it's possible to be in central London in less than 30 minutes.

The area is well served by an array of vibrant shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as the pleasant open spaces of lovely Burgess Park. Camberwell Green itself offers regular Farmer's Markets, with Peckham Rye also nearby for a great selection of music venues and eateries.
