What do you love most about your home?
The original features, high ceilings, and huge living room with its large windows make our flat a wonderfully spacious and bright place to live. We just had the front garden landscaped to make the most of our outdoor spaces, and the roof terrace is a real sun trap in the summer - perfect for barbecues.
Why are you moving?
We've been here nearly nine years, and now have two kids who've just started reception, so we're going to move to a house with an extra bedroom.
What do you love about the area?
Being right on Lordship Lane makes it super convenient to get out and about on foot. Visit Dulwich Park for a stroll around the lake; pop into Dulwich Village for local, independent wine, butchers and gift shops; or eat out at one of many cafes, restaurants and pubs. From yoga and co-working at Oru Space to beers and burgers at Meat Liquor, there is something for everyone. There are also plenty of local supermarkets and high-street shops on Lordship Lane itself. For those with young children, Dulwich Library is wonderfully close and holds regular baby groups, and those with older children are spoiled for choice with great local schools. Plus we have a GP surgery next door but one, and a world class hospital down the road at Kings. For those who like the party scene, Peckham's vibrant nightlife is less than ten minutes away by bus or bike. Buses go every couple of minutes to East Dulwich, Forest Hill, Denmark Hill or Peckham Rye, for direct trains to London Bridge or City Thameslink. There are safe cycling routes to get to Brockwell Park Lido and Herne Hill Velodrome, plus there's free on-street parking for visiting friends and family. We love our neighbours and the local shopkeepers - everyone is friendly and looks out for each other, and there's a real community feel.
