The area feels very safe no matter the time of day or night, we have never felt uncomfortable or even seen anything that might be a cause for concern in 5 years of living here. Our favourite room is definitely the kitchen. In the winter mornings drinking tea and watching the wildlife in the garden or in the summer whipping open the bi-fold windows to let the sunshine, as well as the warm fresh floral air from the back garden, fill the flat. Why are you moving? We have loved living here and are sad to leave but the flat is finished, we’ve had a chance to enjoy it and now it’s time to move on to a new project. What do you love about the area? The area is better connected than is initially apparent with Peckham Rye, Forest Hill and East Dulwich all relatively close (very close if you can cycle to the nearest station). Forest Hill can be useful in a rush, as it is to the south the bus always travels opposite to the traffic morning and night whereas Peckham is downhill all the way so great on your bike in the morning. You are spoilt for parks sandwiched between Peckham Rye and Dulwich Park, each with its own distinct feel. There is a wide range of restaurants on lordship lane and quieter pubs on crystal palace road whereas if you want a bit more energy and a younger crowd you can head to Peckham. Local favourites are EDT, Terroir, Tandoori Nights, The Great Exhibition, Bar Story, Four Quarters, Miss Tapas.
