What do you love most about your home?
It's bright and airy, quiet and calm. Top floor so very little noise. Loft space is brilliant for storage, the rooms are a really nice shape and size. We have lovely neighbours. It has always felt like a sanctuary. And there is a huge shared garden around the back.
Why are you moving?
After living here for an entire decade, we are now moving out of London to be closer to family and the sea!
What do you love about the area?
We feel like West Dulwich is a little-known gem. The area is all you could want, super safe and friendly and everything you need nearby, plus great pubs in the area. There are 4 train stations within walking distance, that will take you or connect you to anywhere you need to get to. Close to parks, delis, cafes, shops. Plentiful, free parking on the road and the bus goes by and you can hail it or jump off right outside. Fave places include any of the local delis, Scotch meats and Oddbins, Knowles of Norwood, Indian Dining Club; and all that nearby areas like Crystal Palace and East Dulwich have to offer.
Boasting access to a delightful shared garden to the rear, this stunning one bedroom conversion flat enjoys a quiet position on the top floor of an attractive Victorian property in a fantastic Dulwich location. Accommodation comprises entrance hall with inbuilt storage, leading into the bright and spacious, open plan reception/kitchen with cast iron feature fireplace, flooded with natural light and providing ample space for both relaxing and dining. The kitchen area comprises a modern range of matching wall and base units with work surfaces incorporating inset sink unit, gas hob with overhead extractor and electric oven below, and further space for appliances. There is a well sized double bedroom, with space for free-standing furniture, plus a stylish bathroom with white three piece suite and elegant part-tiled walls.
The property is enviably located in West Dulwich, within a short distance of exclusive Dulwich Village and the local amenities of Tulse Hill and West Norwood. West Dulwich, Tulse Hill, West Norwood, Sydenham Hill and Gypsy Hill stations are within easy reach with regular services into Victoria and London Bridge. A number of local bus routes also provide good connections to the surrounding area. The area is well served by shops and amenities in nearby Tulse Hill and West Norwood, with West Dulwich and neighbouring Dulwich Village offering an exclusive selection of shops and amenities, as well as the beautiful open spaces of Dulwich Park with cafe, childrens' playground and lake. Belair Park and Brockwell Park are also within easy reach.
