What the sellers say:
What do you love most about the flat?
Until recently, we had lived at Sharpley Court since it was built and it gave us a wonderful lifestyle being so central in London, yet at the same time so quiet and peaceful. Our south-west facing balcony looks out over a large playground which means no road noise and no buildings casting a shadow, so we had an abundance of sunlight all day long. Added to this all of our rooms are well proportioned and with the light provides a nice sense of space and a lovely home. The building is secure, with its own indoor bike store and well maintained.

Why are you selling?
We now have a child and whilst we loved where we lived, she has changed our priorities. We've swapped the buzz and excitement of central London to move closer to family in the suburbs.

What do you love about the area?
The location is absolutely fantastic with so much on the doorstep, with a range of galleries, museums, attractions, parks and the heart of London with its bars and restaurants within walking distance. We loved to stroll along the Southbank, especially during the evening with all of the bars, restaurants, the markets and events with their lights and live music, not to mention the London Eye, Shakespeare′s Globe, Borough Market and the Tate Modern, it feels like being a tourist in our own city. I can′t express how nice it is to go for a walk at the weekend and see St Paul′s Cathedral, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and the twinkling lights of the City and Canary Wharf from Millennium bridge, all without the need of transport.

The area has a number of real gems when it comes to dining out, our recommendation for a day of gastronomic delights would be a hearty breakfast with their renowned cuppa at Time for Terry′s, a Tapas lunch at Meson Don Felipe accompanied by a tasty Spanish Rioja and to round it off a stunning dinner at the Baltic where each course can be accompanied by one of the dozens of flavoured vodkas. Of course, if you wish to go further afield the area is extremely well connected via the Jubilee, Northern, Bakerloo, Waterloo & City, Circle and District Lines alongside five railway stations and the riverboat. With the cycle superhighway at the end of our street cycling safely separated from traffic is also a great option to get around, We are particularly fond of heading up to the Northbank and following the route along the Thames.
