Full description
A huge, and recently renovated, 753 sqft, one bedroom, maisonette with an abundance of storage moments from Caledonian Road station.
The property is accessed through a gated entrance that is shared with just one other apartment and is an excellent place to securely store bikes which both properties do. There is also a large secure storage cupboard in this area.
The apartment offers a wonderful living space with clearly defined areas. The feature of the property is the first floor, which is home to a lovely contemporary kitchen with Easterly views over the community gardens. The kitchen is set off the main reception but still open so that is does feel connected and ideal for hosting dinner parties. The full length of the reception is just under 24 ft with an area for dining at one end and a lounge area at the other. There are also several storage spaces. The top floor is home to a large double bedroom with built in storage and a family bathroom.
Some words from the owners:
What do you love most about your home/property?
We have absolutely loved living at Fortuna Close over the last two years. What we love most about our home is the unexpectedly spacious and house-like feel of our flat, which immediately grabbed us at our first viewing. We have poured our hearts into lovingly renovating the flat over the last two years and will be sorry to let it go. The central yet tranquil location is a rare find for Zone 2, and the mornings are especially delightful as sunlight floods the kitchen and living room.
There is so much storage in this flat - a rarity for a one bed flat in London! We also have a secure porch area which provides a convenient solution for keeping our bikes safe.
Why are you selling?
With a heavy heart, we have decided to sell our flat as we are leaving London to move closer to our family and friends. This decision was not an easy one, but as we look ahead to the next stage of our lives being near our loved ones takes precedence.
What do you love about the area?
The Cally Road area has so much to offer. The flat is a stones throw away from Caledonian Road tube station, and Kings Cross can be reached in under 10 minutes, making it easy to navigate the city. There are a number of fantastic local pubs in this area, such as The Hemingford and the Hammerton Brewery, and we have loved exploring the area's superb brunch and coffee spots like Sunday, Southpaw and Vagabond.
