Some words from the owner:
What do you love most about your home/property?
I've loved living here for nearly 13 years. I spent a while looking for a flat on this road as it's exceptionally quiet due to the gate between us and Aberdeen Park. The flat's high ceilings, big sash windows, layout and good storage give it a feeling of space. It gets a lot of natural light - morning sun in the lounge and kitchen and afternoon/evening sun in the bedroom. Nature is really important to me, and I can see a lot of sky and feel I am in the treetops looking out over back gardens. The greenery, blossom, and birdsong (and swifts in spring/summer) make it a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing place to be.
Why are you selling?
My partner lives in West Wales, and my employer allowing me to move to a homeworking contract means I am able to relocate there.
What do you love about the area?
The surrounding streets have lots of trees, a calm village feel, and friendly neighbours. Highbury has great shops, including very good cheese, wine, and fish shops, an Italian deli, health food shops and a friendly hardware store. Being between Highbury Fields and Clissold Park means that it's very easy to walk or run a route that's mainly in a park. I love walking, and can walk to so many places - Stoke Newington, Upper Street in Islington, Kings Cross, Covent Garden and even to work in Whitehall. There is a wonderful (and ever increasing) number of great cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants within very easy walking distance in Highbury, Stoke Newington and Islington. Highbury is incredibly well connected for transport - it's an easy walk to Highbury or Arsenal tube stations for a very quick journey to central London and the Overground makes Hampstead Heath very quick to get to.
