Comments from the owner:
What do you love most about your home?:
The thing that made me fall in love with it at first sight and that I still love so much about it is the large kitchen with the two sets of double doors leading out to the garden. Especially in summer, when the garden is in full bloom with the old church overlooking it, and the doors are permanently open, it's really lovely to feel like we have so much space in the middle of east London.
Why are you moving?:
Because we now have a dog, who's going to be quite large when he's fully grown, and because of post-Covid working arrangements, we've decided we'd like to move to a larger property but planning to stay in the same location.
What do you love about the area?
For fans of east London it's the perfect location. It's a short walk to the constantly changing and bustling main drag of Dalston but feels hugely quiet, especially since the bollards at the end of the street (part of the cycle superhighway infrastructure) stopped all passing traffic. And it's a very short walk to our favourite place to be on the weekends: Stoke Newington Church Street and Clissold and Abney Parks.
A beautiful double fronted Victorian conversion flat, superbly appointed throughout and enjoying a wealth of period features and elegance tastefully enhanced with stylish interiors throughout. Accommodation comprises entrance hall with stairs down to a private cellar, leading into the bright and spacious reception room with attractive front aspect bay and ample space for relaxing and entertaining. To the rear of the property, the stunning open plan kitchen/diner is flooded with natural light from overhead skylight window, double doors and further bi-folding doors opening onto the private garden. The kitchen area itself comprises a range of matching wall and base units with work surfaces incorporating inset ceramic Butler sink unit, induction hob with overhead extractor and electric oven below, and further space for appliances. There are two well sized bedrooms, each with inbuilt storage, plus a stylish family bathroom with white three piece suite and elegant tiling.
The property is conveniently located within easy access of Dalston Junction, Dalston Kingsland and Canonbury stations, as well as numerous regular bus routes providing excellent cross-London links. Nearby Kingsland High Road offers an array of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, all within just a short distance from the property, with nearby Butterfield Green and lovely Clissold Park providing beautiful open spaces. Stoke Newington is also within easy access offering a further array of fashionable shops, bars and restaurants.
