Comments from the owner:
What do you love most about your home?
The flat gives a real sense of space and quiet, despite being close to so many amenities. The split level breaks up the living area from the bedrooms, and there is light running through the whole flat. The master bedroom is very big and there is a good size second bedroom. We have done a lot of work upgrading the flat, and it feels contemporary but with some lovely period features. In the winter you get great views of Alexandra Palace (and the fireworks) and in the summer you get views of lovely trees that makes it feel like you are in a rural setting.
Why are you moving?
After five years of loving living here we need more space for our growing family.
What do you love about the area?
The flat is close to so many excellent amenities. We’re 8 minutes walk from Crouch End Broadway with great independent shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs like the Maynard Arms and The King’s Head. On Hornsey High Street there are now also some great cafes, bakeries and pubs. At the end of our road, there is the 12th century St Mary's Church Tower which has pretty gardens and hosts small concerts during the summer and is a great place to relax. Priory Park is just around the corner and the fantastic Alexandra Palace Park is a 20-minute walk away. Major events and concerts are frequently held here. The new Sainsburys Superstore (with an Argos) on Hornsey High Street is less than 5 minutes' walk away. On the travel front, Hornsey station is also a 5-minute walk and the new trains provide a reliable line into Moorgate (20 minutes) or Highbury and Islington (12 minutes), where the interchange to the Victoria line means you can be in central London in approx. 30/40 minutes. Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly Line) is a 15-minute walk. Finally, we are in the catchment area for excellent nurseries and schools.
