Also, being so close to Victoria park makes you feel like you’ve stepped away from the hustle and bustle of London. The balcony and substantial living space have been especially welcome during lockdown as outside space has proved invaluable; and the view from our balcony in spring is of a lovely blossom tree. The estate has a fantastic playground for children (and big kids) and has always felt really safe and friendly. The fact that the number 8 night bus stops in sight of the building front door was massively reassuring for me if travelling late at night. Why are you moving? We are two friends who bought our first flat together but are now going our separate ways. One to move in with his partner and the other is relocating out of London. We’ll be sad to see our lovely first home go but it’s time for new adventures. What do you love about the area? There is a real sense of community, lots of local businesses and the market stalls on Roman Road are always great for a wander. There are excellent coffee shops and cafes literally around the corner and East London Gin has its home 5 minutes away. The Lord Morpeth, our local is close enough to pop in on a whim but not so close to hear any wild parties and it does exceptional pizzas! The Sunday market in Victoria Park has some wonderful treats and you must treat yourself to brunch at Pavillion Cafe.
