Full description

This fantastic purpose-built, one-bed maisonette is ideally situated, close to a wealth of local amenities, green spaces, and services. Equidistant between Earlsfield Station and Tooting Broadway Underground Station, it′s also conveniently located for swift access into Central London and The City via National Rail and Northern Line services. The accommodation itself is comprised of a bright and spacious reception room, a generously sized double bedroom, a separate kitchen, a brand new modern bathroom and it′s own private entrance. There′s great storage space and the property has been well maintained and finished throughout with a new boiler installed in the summer of 2019.    What do you love most about your property?   I’ve felt very safe living in this flat which was important for me; even when I’ve walked home on my own late at night. The flat itself is really quiet and not really overlooked as there are trees outside the main living rooms blocking onlookers. The neighbours are really friendly too. I also can’t complain at the low service charge, low council tax, free parking and peppercorn ground rent! Actually, a real positive of an ex-local authority flat where the landlord is the local authority is that they are easy to get in touch with an have additional duties to private landlords because they have to procure goods and services in a certain way and can’t make a profit, so you know you’re not going to get ripped off. Having a leasehold flat was also a positive to me as a first time buyer because I wasn’t responsible for if anything went wrong with the building (not that it did), but it was one less worry and something I didn’t have to budget for. The council was also responsible for buildings insurance.   Why are you Seling?   To move into a family home with my partner.   What do you love most about your area?   I bought the flat in Tooting as Tooting is vibrant and has easy transport links to most of London as well as not being far from the A3 for trips up north to visit family. There are plenty of green spaces, I particularly enjoy Tooting Common and Wimbledon Common, the latter really feels like you’re in the countryside. You can’t beat the food in Tooting, whether it is one of the many authentic curries or the variety of places in the Tooting Markets such as Franco Manca pizza or one of the independents. There are also some nice places in Earlsfield, a particular favorite of mine is Roxie Steak.
