What do your love about your home?
It is a peaceful home with great neighbours that respect our peace and quality of life. I have been here a long time - since Nov 1987! The area itself is lovely with wide roads and considerate neighbours - we do have our own WhatsApp group which is very active with local issues. This alone is a great resource for anyone joining as help and assistance are a short call away.
Why are you moving?
I am downsizing as my son has just purchased his own house and having a three-bedroom apartment just for myself is too big a space for me!
What are the best bits about the area?
The area itself is lovely with some of the most in-demand schools, fantastic transport links, and great parks and beauty spots for walks and relaxation. Coupled with great shopping centres, Amenities, and fast motorway links, North Ilford is a very easy and a highly sought after area.
Accommodation comprises entrance via the ground floor with stairs rising to the first floor landing, leading into the bright and spacious reception room with feature square bay, and ample space for relaxing and dining. The separate kitchen comprises a modern range of matching wall and base units with work surfaces incorporating inset sink unit and further space for appliances. Redbridge, Gants Hill (Zone 4, Central Line) and Ilford (Zone 4, East Anglia/Cross Rail) are both within a 15 minutes walking distance. Ilford is going through a massive regeneration and expansion programme for the upcoming Queen Elizabeth Line, which will provide fast access through to Heathrow and Reading.
The A406, A12, A13 and the M11 roads are within comfortable distance for those who drive. Local bus services are within walking distance providing easy access towards several different locations including Wanstead, Stratford, Barkingside and more! Lastly, the area is full of parks with the beautiful open spaces of Valentines Park and Valentine Mansions just a short stroll away. Also local amenities are just around the corner, making it an ideal property for those with children, first-time buyers or an investor.
