What do you love about the property?
Everything! The flat itself is bright and spacious, with windows to the front and rear meaning there is always light streaming in from one side or the other. In summer we open the front and back windows to allow a lovely cooling breeze to flow through, and in winter it's always snug and warm. The living area is really spacious, with plenty of room for a sofa, armchair, coffee table and dining table, plus a window seat to watch the world go by. The bedroom is a perfect size fitting a double bed, 3 double wardrobes and a drawer unit with no problem. And the parking space is a huge bonus for anyone who drives.
What do you love about the area?
This is a great area to live in. Easy access to the Tube, Overground and buses mean that you can get anywhere (less than 20 mins to both Oxford Circus and Liverpool Street) with ease. Walthamstow Village with its pubs and restaurants are 2 minutes walk around the corner. Perfect for those impromptu "let's pop out for a quick drink/bite to eat" moments. Walthamstow Market and the high street with all of its shops are just a few minutes away too. The Olympic Park is also just a bus ride away. And if you like outdoor space, then Lloyd Park, Epping Forest and Walthamstow Wetlands are all within walking distance and are always fun to explore. The River Lea is also within walking distance, which you can follow by foot or bike down to the Thames.
Property description
In an excellent position for both the Village and Walthamstow Central but still located on a quiet side street is this well-presented 1-bedroom first floor flat. The block benefits from gated residents' parking and a communal garden area while the flat inside is bright, spacious and will make a great first home.
The living room features a large bay which the owner has adapted into a seating area ideal for a reading nook, plus plenty of additional space for entertaining or even working from home as required. The separation means you have a proper 'cook's kitchen' and also gives the potential for changes to any DIY enthusiasts; some of the other flats in the block have opened this space up to the living room.
The bathroom benefits from a window (an increasingly rare feature in more modern flats) and the spacious bedroom to the rear complete the flat.
The property is in one of the most sought-after areas of Walthamstow: You are moments from the delights of Orford Road in one direction while the other takes you to Walthamstow Central station in a couple of minutes stroll. Walthamstow is well served by an array of fashionable pubs, bars, restaurants, amenities and the beautiful open spaces of Lloyd Park - home to the famous 'William Morris' Gallery.
