Make sure you try and make your home as neutral as possible. Try to hide as many hyper-personal things as you can to help potential buyers view themselves living in the property.”
He continues, “Save time in the long run by being prepared. Make sure you have all of your necessary documents ready, including EPCs, planning permissions or building regulation certificates.”
Alongside improving your home’s aesthetics, it’s recommended that you fix any little odd jobs. Michael Flynn, Hackney Partner endorses this, “All the little things can subconsciously make a buyer think that a place needs more work than it actually does” he says. “ The dodgy bathroom handle, the forever broken spotlight, even the slightly torn or frayed carpet, get them done! The only thing I would say is that if you aren’t great at painting, it can be more beneficial to use a professional!”
