Full description

"This is a 'Pocket Home' intended for first-time buyers through (pocketliving.com). To buy this home you must live or work in any London Borough, be a first-time buyer and have a household income below the GLA Income Threshold set by the Mayor of London (currently £90,000 per annum)."

The accommodation includes an entrance hall with inbuilt storage, which leads into the bright and spacious, open plan living area/kitchen with a Juliette balcony, and ample space for relaxing, entertaining and dining. The kitchen area comprises a modern range of matching white high gloss wall and base units with work surfaces incorporating an inset sink unit, induction hob with overhead extractor and electric oven below, and a dishwasher. There is a well-sized double bedroom with a useful inbuilt wardrobe and a second Juliette balcony, plus a stylish shower room with walk-in shower suite and elegant tiling. There is underfloor heating throughout the hall, living area/ kitchen and bedroom.

The property sits within a gated building with secure bike storage and a communal garden for residents. It is conveniently located within easy access of Brixton Tube and overground stations and Stockwell Tube station, providing excellent transport links into Central London by the Victoria, Northern and overground lines, as well as the centre of Brixton (less than 10 minutes' walk). There are numerous regular bus routes nearby, with Brixton offering an array of shops, bars, restaurants and amenities, in addition to the indoor markets and the famous O2 Brixton Academy music venue. Please note residents are not eligible for a council parking permit.

Some Words from The Owner:

What do you love most about your home?
I have loved the sense of security and comfort I've had living here. It's such a modern, airy flat with lots of light, while high ceilings and Juliette balconies that increase the sense of space. As I'm away from the road, I don't hear traffic and have a lovely green view over gardens - but I can walk out of my door and be on a bus or the Tube in minutes (there is a bus stop at the end of the road, handily). I also like being off the ground floor in a secure double-gated building with friendly neighbours who help each other out: I've always felt safe and happy here. On a practical note, my energy bills are low.

Why are you moving?
I am moving to north London to be closer to family.

What do you love about the area?
I can run to two great parks - Brockwell Park and Clapham Common - and there are so many places to eat and drink, with lots of openings even in the five years I've been here. My favourites are The Laundry in Brixton for dinners out, Brixton Market for more casual meet-ups, all the independent coffee shops, but especially Annapurna Café as it's so close when WFH. It's also really handy to have a Co-op, a Pure Gym and an F45 so near to the flat. If you're into it, there's also places like Ama for A-list nails (truly, check out the founder's client list) and Myla & Davis for hair.
