Full description
Nested are pleased to present this stunning two bed garden flat, situated in a characterful building, on a beautiful tree-lined street in Vauxhall. The property has a spacious open plan kitchen/ dining/ living area with bi-fold doors out to the private and peaceful garden as well as a family bathroom and two double bedrooms, although the current owners use one for a separate living room and opt to use an additional smaller room as their second bedroom/ office.
St. Stephen's Terrace is within a low traffic conservation zone and is conveniently located by Albert Square and the huge selection of local shops, cafes and amenities on South Lambeth Road, including the Canton Arms Pub and 'Little Portugal'. The popular Oval farmers' market, Kennington Park and the iconic site of the Oval Cricket Ground are within easy reach, as well as nearby Vauxhall with the bridge providing access to Pimlico, Westminster and Victoria. For transport links, Stockwell Underground Station (Northern & Victoria Lines) and Vauxhall Station (Victoria Line & mainline South West Trains) Nine Elms (Northern Line) and Vauxhall Bus Station are no more than a 10 minutes' walk.
Some words from the owners:
What do you love most about your home/property?
It's a warm, light-filled home, with friendly neighbours and a great garden for entertaining or just lazing in the sun. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and it's on a lovely, quiet road, while being super handy to travel into town. The dinning room is a real bonus for entertaining all year round.
Why are you selling?
We've lived here happily for 22 years, but a few years ago we bought a house near Bristol as our jobs are mainly based there now. Over the past year or so we've hardly been staying here at all, so sadly it's time to sell.
What do you love about the area?
The restaurants nearby just get better and better, with the wonderful Canton Arms a favourite of ours. There's always parking on the wide street outside and it's only a short walk to the mega Sainsbury's (or even shorter to Tesco's and the Co-op!). With the opening of the tube station at Nine Elms, we now have 4 tube stations to choose from, plus Vauxhall mainline and great bus routes to the centre of town, while a cab isn't too expensive to get home after a night out. It's great to be able to walk to the cricket at the Oval, eat out in the restaurants along the riverside at Vauxhall or stroll around Vauxhall Park through the very pretty lavender gardens.
