Queenstown Road itself features many bars, restaurants and shops and is moments from both the open green spaces of Clapham Common and Battersea Park.

Some words from the owner:

What do you love most about your home/property?
Our beloved home -a gorgeous Victorian Maisonette- has always felt like a calm and welcoming retreat to return to after a day out in the hustle & bustle of London. It feels peaceful, cosy, yet bright. Our daughter loves the high ceilings and big double windows in her large front bedroom. She loves watching the big sky and orange pink sunsets and the world passing by.
Our magical Patio Garden (a little sun trap from lunchtime when we can watch the visiting birds playing in the birdbath!) comes into its own at twilight; bedecked with twinkling fairy lights and lanterns it really is a green oasis of tranquillity after a hard day's work. We have enjoyed many a supper with friends and good wine under the stars there on a balmy evening. Such a space (which seems to double the size of the flat in the Summer) is priceless in the hectic Capital!
We love the sociable and practical open-plan kitchen/living space (both looking out over the garden) and our unexpectedly roomy, tranquil bathroom with its large, bright window is a bonus too to unwind in the tub with a G&T!
We are fond too of our under-stair Office Snug! A well-used, extra space that proves invaluable on days working from home.
In the bedroom overlooking the tranquil garden sits another convenient workspace. Set under the large sash window there it's another invaluable, favourite spot.
I remember moving in and just loving having our own front door! After years of sharing flat-split houses the joy of hearing your post drop through your very own letterbox was exciting and still gives me a thrill to this day!
The location here is fantastic with everything you could want right on the doorstep. The connections by bus are a dream (much to the envy of friends living a bit further out!) providing an easy journey to Chelsea just over the bridge, Knightsbridge, Kensington and beyond providing quick access to the V&A, Natural History and Science Museums, Galleries, Restaurants, Bars, Shopping, the list is endless! The overground train (at Battersea Park for Victoria in 4 mins & Queenstown Road Station for Waterloo in 9 mins) are a 3 and 1 min walk away respectively. The new Northern Line tube station at Battersea Power Station provide fast links to the West End. The river taxis from the Power Station are easy and fun to use to arrive at the buzz of the South Bank, Greenwich (also for the Emirates Cable Car Experience with visitors) or Charing Cross for Covent Garden and Theatres etc on the Thames.

Why are you selling?
It must be said, this is a most reluctant sale; we have so loved living here for 20 years! With a growing family and a change of direction for our life it is time for us to move outside of London to pastures and adventures new.
We will cherish our memories of life on Queenstown Road, Battersea; we have enjoyed watching the area grow, develop, and prosper! Exciting times ahead for, not only us, but for Battersea & Nine Elms too!

What do you love about the area?
The sense of community here; it always feels safe and alive with so much going on. Excellent immediate amenities, fantastic local pubs. Cocktail bars, restaurants, shops aplenty for times you don't want to cross Chelsea Bridge midweek!
The unrivalled travel connections.
The eagerly awaited Battersea Power Station has been open 10 months now and for anyone thinking of moving to Battersea the addition of this incredible landmark building and Nine Elms development (currently the largest in Europe) is a total game-changer offering so much on every single level!
The exciting 'Lift 109' is a must-visit new attraction; the much-anticipated glass elevator scaling the north chimney of the Power Station- an incredible experience and unrivalled views!
Battersea Park just a 5 min walk away is the jewel in Battersea's crown with its beautiful open spaces, Boating Lake, Gym, Tennis Courts, Events Space, Children's Zoo, Music Gigs, Art Fairs, Go Ape, Sports Facilities, Playgrounds, Cafes etc.
A few other local favourites are the independent Clapham Picturehouse Cinema by the Common- it's a real gem. As is the weekly Food Market on Venn Street there selling divine seafood, meats, dairy, baked goods and fruits and plants from small independent producers.
Battersea Dogs &Cats Home is around the corner and well worth a visit as is the world-famous Covent Garden Flower Market.
So much to see and do we hope you will be as happy as we have been here!
