What do you love most about your home?
We absolutely love the renovation work that the developers did when we bought the flat 20 months ago. Everything was brand spanking new and we've ensured that it has stayed in fantastic condition. The wooden floors, the mod cons of underfloor heating in the bathroom and the Nest heating control are fantastic. This flat is also one of four flats that look after the freehold on the building, so everything really is under our control.
To top it all off, we have a great relationship with the developers who have been more than happy to come over and help with any minor issues and blemishes since we've lived here (they're proud and want to maintain the high standard of the building!)
Why are you moving?
We're moving to Sweden and are therefore reluctantly selling our beautiful Acre Lane flat. We've been looking to move to Sweden for a while, and we managed to confirm that the move had the go ahead as I have a relocation package with my company (which is Swedish!) to facilitate that move.
What do you love about the area?
We are within touching distance of some of London's most fabulous bars & restaurants. Brixton Brewery & Ghost Whale for beers, Canova, Cattivo & The Laundry for brunch and cocktails, Brixton Pop for the best street food and entertainment in South West London and finally, Brixton Academy for the best bands and artists out there are quite literally on our doorstep.
We love grabbing coffee at either Blank or Beast of Brixton which are a 3 minute potter down Acre Lane, or Family of Friends which is directly opposite our flat do a knockout flat white! We also love that Brockwell Park is a 10 minute walk away, and Clapham Common is only 20 minutes away, you have some of the finest London parks and commons in easy reach of the flat.
Finally, it's a 5 minute walk to Brixton tube station which is at the very start of the Victoria Line (guaranteed a seat even in rush hour!) and 10 minutes from Clapham North which is on the Northern Line, so Central London is just a few stops away. Brixton high street also has a plethora of London bus routes into central too, you really can get absolutely anywhere in London just 5 minutes from the flat's front door!
