Full description

This fabulous property is ideal for first-time buyers. Used in the past as a four bedroom flat, the property has an abundance of space and character. The front room next to the kitchen is currently used as a bedroom. There is an additional bedroom downstairs as well as a family bathroom and a big living room overlooking the private garden. Upstairs are two further bedrooms and a shower room. This property is full of development potential (STPP). What the owner says: What do you love most about your home? I absolutely adore this flat! It′s huge and quirky, and I′ve been able to rent out rooms to lodgers, which has made it a financial security blanket as well as a comfortable and peaceful home. It′s a really attractive street, full of beautiful old Victorian houses, and my favourite two rooms are mine and the living room, both at the back of the house looking out onto the big, private garden - no traffic sound, just lots of greenery to enjoy, but it′s still incredibly convenient for transport and shopping. I′m also a complete sucker for the huge sash windows - so much light! Why are you selling? Incredibly sadly, for family reasons. What do you love about the area? I′ve lived in London 22 years, and never found anywhere with such a great community vibe! There are some fantastic independent cafes (Walnuts & Honey is a firm favourite - Matthew does the most delicious cupcakes and I pretend they′re healthy because they′re vegan) and pubs (the Shelverdine Goathouse does great halloumi fries), a new and steadily growing market near the Clocktower through the summer months, several new restaurants (Trude and Mama Dough′s), and at least four supermarkets, including a big Sainsbury′s and a good sized Aldi, within a five minute walk. I love running in the Lakes and the Country Park (we′ve a great Parkrun!), and I′ve an absolute embarrassment of wonderful neighbours (at least four of whom have my spare keys, because I′m constantly losing mine when running in the gorgeous local parks). You′re far enough out to have Surrey on your doorstep, but you can be in London Bridge or Bank in 30 minutes. I′m absolutely crushed to be leaving, I have been so happy here.
