Some words from the owners:
What do you love most about your home/property?
I love waking up in the master bedroom on lazy weekend mornings - with the sun streaming through the large sash windows there is nowhere I would rather be.

We knew we loved the house when we bought it - we loved the period features, wooden floors, large sash windows, high ceilings and light spaces, not to mention the garden which is a sun-trap and gets sun throughout the day. However, the thing we could not have known is how much we would love the community. Everyone looks out for each other whether it's taking in deliveries, putting out bins, feeding each other's pets or keeping an eye out when you're away.

Why are you selling?
We're only moving because we need more space for our growing family. We have had an amazing chapter on Milton Road - we're really sad to be leaving but it's time to let someone else love this house as much as we do and make it their home.

What do you love about the area?
Everything! We love Herne Hill and will be staying in the area - to be honest we couldn't imagine living anywhere else. It's a beautiful village with everything you could possibly want on your doorstep and the transport connections with the Thameslink and Brixton tube mean you can be pretty much anywhere in central in 30 minutes.

There are too many things to pick so we'll pick a highlight each!

1/ We live right by Brockwell Park and going for summer evening walks through the park and looking out over the London skyline never grows old. Even better if the walk ends with grabbing a table outside at Llewellyn's for dinner and drinks.

2/ Our daughter loved Herne Hill School for pre-prep and still talks about it to this day. But if she hadn't gone there we're within catchment for a number of outstanding state schools and have some of the best independent schools in the country in the area.

3/ There's a tonne of fab independent stores with the bakery, bookshops, butcher, deli and hairdresser etc, and the Sunday market really brings it all together. We rarely miss a Sunday there and use it to grab most of our weekly food shopping as well as picking out a treat each to enjoy with our Sunday movie.
