Owners Comments: What do you love most about your home? The loveliest thing about this flat is the sunny balcony in the mornings where you can enjoy aàcup of coffee in one of the calmest, quietest spots in Elephant & Castle. Being on the first floor, and with supportive neighbours around, the space has always felt really safe and secure. Weâve also enjoyed how low-maintenance everything is - we have an energy-efficient heat exchange system, for example, which just runs throughout the year and keeps everything at the right comfortable temperature. Why are you moving? While we love London, we are countryside people at heart and so are taking a break from the city. We also want to move to be closer to our friends. What do you love about the area? There is everything you could want here. We are lucky to be within walking distance of several tranquil, hidden-away spaces such as the beautiful Jamyang Buddhist Centre, the Tibetan Peace Garden in the Imperial War Museum Park, Vauxhall City Farm and the new gardens in Elephant Park. The area has changed a lot in the last decade, with more restaurants and bars such as Mercado Metropolitano, but it has retained its soul: we have really diverse communities and cultures here, such as the artisan studios in Pullens Yard and Latin American food and music in Elephant Road.àThe area is perfect for exploring London however you want - by bike, foot, train, bus or underground. The public transport connections are unbeatable and itâs possible to get to major train stations (Victoria, Waterloo, London Bridge and Charing Cross in particular) quickly when you want to get out of London.àWe love how central we are and being able to stroll to the Southbank Centre in under half an hour or walk or bike across the river to Soho and Chinatown. Property Details: Accommodation comprises entrance hall with inbuilt storage, leading into the bright and spacious, open plan dual aspect reception/kitchen with direct access onto the delightful enclosed private balcony and ample space for both relaxing and dining.àThe kitchen area comprises a modern range of matching white fronted wall and base units with work surfaces incorporating inset sink unit, electric hob with overhead extractor and electric oven below, and further space for appliances.àThere are two well sized double bedrooms, with en-suite shower to the master, plus a stylish family bathroom with white three piece suite and elegant tiling. The property is conveniently located close to a variety of shops, cafes, bars and amenities, as well as numerous regular bus routes providing links into Central London and the City. Elephant & Castle station and Kennington station are also just a short walk away, offering fast and frequent underground and overground connections, with Borough, London Bridge and Waterloo also within a short distance. Ideal as either a first time or investment purchase, viewings of this property are highly recommended.
