The wealth of natural light throughout makes the already sizeable space feel even larger. The kitchen area has been carefully designed with matching white wall and base units containing generous storage and the integrated fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The inset sink unit is discretely positioned and there is plenty of space on the work surfaces for other appliances. In addition there is an elegant breakfast bar with further storage. There are two good sized double bedrooms, plus a stylish family bathroom with white suite and elegant tiling, and useful adjacent separate WC - perfect if you have guests or flatmates.

Comments from the owner:

What do you love most about your home? The stunning views blew me away the first time I walked into the flat, and since then every visitor has been equally "wowed". Each day is different and many happy hours have been spent watching the world go by, spotting new things from the comfort of my home. For early birds, the sunrise over Canary Wharf is spectacular. It is great not to be overlooked and you can't hear the neighbours, making it a peaceful haven. Crucially, it is very secure (within the flat and the building) and it is safe to leave the windows and balcony doors open at all times for excellent ventilation in the summer, or shutting them down in the colder months for a cosy snuggly feel.
As a keen cook, the flat has the perfect layout for entertaining - whether you have a couple of friends sat at the island while you prepare a low key meal, or you are hosting a crowd, the open plan set up means you are always involved and part of the party.

Why are you moving? Burwash House has been the perfect first home for me. I couldn't have wished for more, and I would happily stay here forever! I have grown and developed in the 11 incredibly happy years that I have spent living here from the early stages of my career as a young professional until now…! It is time to move on to a new adventure but I will be very sorry to leave the flat, the wonderful community within the estate and the wider London Bridge area. The balcony has been a lovely outside space for a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening watching the sunset, but I would like to see if my gardening skills can improve with a bit more space.

What do you love about the area? The area is incredibly vibrant and cosmopolitan while also having a real community feel. I particularly love the freedom of being able to walk most places, including 20 minutes over the bridge to work in the City. The immediate vicinity has everything you could wish for - within a five minute walk you have the bustling Bermondsey Street with an incredible range of bars, eateries, independent boutiques and galleries, a glorious and tranquil park with a beautiful rose garden, Flat Iron Square and other markets, tennis courts which are free to use, the Shard and its swanky offering, the sensory overload of Borough Market, plenty of supermarkets and other amenities (hospital, dentist, dry cleaners, hairdressers etc) and London Bridge station which is brilliantly connected on the underground and mainline. Keep walking for a few more minutes and you can be alongside the river at More London which (in normal times) puts on a wide range of events and festivals; Butler's Wharf; Tower Bridge which now has a theatre and wide range of F&B offerings on its doorstep; and Maltby Street market, or in the other direction: the Clink; the Golden Hinde; the Southbank Centre; and Shakespeare's Globe. Living in the middle of such a 'happening' area is brilliant, but the connectivity and ease of getting anywhere else in London and beyond is excellent. As a single woman, safety is key, and I feel comfortable walking back from the station (or anywhere else) after dark. The annual Bermondsey Street Festival epitomises everything that I love about the area - for one day in September, the street is pedestrianised and taken over with live stages supporting local musicians, countless artisan stalls, all the best eateries offering their food and drinks in the make-shift market in one of the parks, a dog show, a fashion show, may pole dancing and in the evening, Bermondsey Square is transformed into an outdoor cinema where everyone gathers with picnics and blankets to relax in a deck chair and watch a classic film. Bliss.
