Full description
A bright and spacious double-fronted maisonette, featuring approximately 3m high ceilings and large bay windows, situated within a Victorian conversion on a quiet residential street in Islington.
The property has recently undergone significant improvements including a new fitted kitchen with appliances, wooden flooring and skirting, new bathroom, new doors throughout and a full internal redecoration and damp proofing to the external walls.
Lowman Road is conveniently located within easy walking distance of various amenities, including Waitrose and Marks & Spencer on Holloway Road. Nearby Upper Street offers a selection of restaurants, vibrant bars, cafés, and boutiques. Holloway Road Underground Station (Piccadilly Line) is just a few minutes walk away and Drayton Park Station (National Rail) is also within easy walking distance, providing direct access to Moorgate in the City.
Some words from the owner:
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR HOME?
We love the brightness of the house, especially the tall glass patio doors that lead from the kitchen and bedroom into the garden. The high ceilings and excellent layout make the house feel airy and spacious. Every room is comfortable and generously sized, giving the home a warm and cozy atmosphere. Having our own private patio is wonderful in the summer, and the double-sized shared garden is perfect for lounging on the grass on warm days.
WHY ARE YOU SELLING?
We are only moving on because of the need to relocate for work.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT THE AREA?
The transport links are a huge plus for the property, being minutes from Holloway Road station on the Piccadilly Line and a 6 minute walk to Drayton Park for the train. Cycle routes are excellent, and it's only a 20 minute cycle into the city or a mere 10 minute cycle to Angel and East London. It's a really central part of town, with a huge range of shops and supermarkets within a 5 minute walk, whilst retaining the feeling of being further out on a wide leafy quiet residential road. Waitrose is a stone's throw away, and there's a great selection of bars and pubs close by including our local El Commandante, home to a very friendly landlord who makes you feel part of the local community. Broccoli is our neighbouring coffee shop where all the staff are really friendly and it's a great place for lunch on those Friday working from home days.
Having Highbury Fields nearby is great for a morning stroll, walking past a selection of excellent coffee shops. There's lots of brilliant independent food stores including Holloway Model Bakery which bakes amazing bread and even offers free sourdough starter to customers.
Being near Emirates Stadium is great as it gives you easy access to neighbouring areas including Highbury Barn and Drayton Park and is a great place to run around if you're into that! In the summer it's mostly quiet, and during football season it's fun to have the sense of a festival atmosphere nearby whilst the street itself remains relatively quiet as it's not a through-route to the stations for crowds.
