A wonderful studio apartment with defined areas including a separate fitted kitchen, sleeping area, a stunning contemporary bathroom and direct access to a 50ft West facing communal garden.
The apartment has been thoughtfully designed by the current owners to create an excellent living space utilising opportunities for storage space and having clearly defined areas within the apartment. In the summer months with the patio doors open, the garden area really does become and extension of the living area. The garden is shared with only one other apartment that also has direct access and the garden has been designed in such a way that each apartment has their own private section.
Carleton Road is a popular residential street offering excellent local amenities and transport connections from Kentish Town, Tufnell Park and Holloway Road all within a 15 minute walk.
The property is being offered chain free with vacant possession.
What do you love most about your home/property?
Our flat is the perfect escape from busy London life. As soon as you go through the gate and get to the entrance of our flat it's like being transported to a little green paradise in the middle of London. The view out is just greenery and trees all year round, and it's like living in the countryside having such a big garden and patio space. In summer we spend most of our time eating out on the patio and relaxing in the garden with our dog. It's totally silent on a morning when we wake up, and all you can hear is the birds in the trees outside. No road noise, no sirens. Having said all this, within 20 minutes you're in the centre of London, or within 10 minutes walk you're on Tufnell Park high street with all the great coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants that you'd ever need. It's the perfect balance. It is also worth mentioning that ultra fast fibre optic broadband is available on our street which is great when you are working from home.
Why are you selling?
We love our secret garden flat, but we've been offered jobs abroad so we've made the big decision to move overseas.
What do you love about the area?
We'll miss so many things about living here. The list is too long to include everything. The area is very calm and family friendly, but it's right in the middle of Kentish Town, Tufnell Park and Holloway Road so there's everything you'd ever need. Tufnell Park Tavern is our local and the perfect friendly pub with delicious pizza and live piano sessions on a Tuesday night. There's the newly renovated Odeon Luxe down the road where we go most weekends to see a film, Bread by Bike is our go-to for proper coffee, cake and weekend brunches, Salvino's infamous deli sandwiches - you need to try them - are the perfect lunchtime treat, and most of all the access to so many parks in the area. Caledonian Road Park and Whittington Park are 10 minutes walk away, and Hampstead Heath and Waterlow park are about 25 minutes away for a longer weekend walk or a run.
