What do you love most about your home?
We loved the character from the first moment we walked through the door - with the high ceilings, big windows, and most of all - the fireplace! We like that the master bedroom is at the back of the flat and down a level, as it's so quiet and separate. One of the main selling points for us was the ample amount of built-in storage. From our extensive search, it was pleasing to find a second bedroom that was so well proportioned and bright.
Why are you moving?
With a 15 month old baby in the second bedroom, and many lost months with the grandparents due to Covid-19, we'd like to get a 3-bed property and have family to stay as often as we can.
What do you love about the area?
From a travel perspective it's unrivalled - being just a 2 minute walk from Highgate Station on the Northern Line (and 25 minutes to Tottenham Court Road - door-to-door), and a 5 minute drive to the North Circular (with ample safe street parking behind the property). Highgate is a beautiful and historic village, offering an abundance of award-winning gastro pubs (our favourite has to be the Red Lion & Sun) - and a real community feel. There is so much green space all around us, with Highgate Woods opposite - plus Waterlow Park and Hampstead Heath within 10 minute walks. Alexandra Palace can be reached via the Parkland Walk, and Muswell Hill is within even closer reach - with an array of independent shops, restaurants, and a great local brewery. It's also incredibly useful having a doctors, dentist, post office, and pharmacist all within a stone's throw.
Accommodation comprises split level entrance hall with inbuilt storage, leading into the bright and spacious, reception room, flooded with natural light from large front aspect window, and boasting a beautiful and ornate cast iron feature fireplace. The property is enviably located within a short walk of Highgate station, as well as numerous regular bus routes linking the surrounding area. There are a variety of shops and amenities within easy reach, as well as the beautiful open spaces of Highgate and Queens's Woods, and the Parkland Walk, within a short distance.
