Some words from the owner:
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR HOME?
Sotheby road and the surrounding streets are incredibly beautiful, friendly, and secure. I fell in love with the tree-lined and extremely quiet streets knowing that within a few minutes I had access to Highbury Barn, Clissold Park and Stoke Newington Church Street, perfect for a weekend stroll. I love the high ceilings, natural light that floods in every day, and the spacious, full size double bedrooms, which I struggled to find when I was last looking (one was always a box room so I jumped at the chance to put an offer on this flat at the time!). The flat functions really well and I've enjoyed my time here immensely, watching the world go by from the large, bay windows that brings so much light into the property.
WHY ARE YOU SELLING?
I've lived in London for 20 years now and I've decided it's time to move nearer family, outside of the city. I'm looking for a little more space and to renovate a new property, being an Architect and Interior Designer by trade, I am eager to put my stamp on another property! It's taken me a while to decide upon moving, simply because I feel so at home this flat and wonderful area.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT THE AREA?
Highbury has a close-knit, village feel to it and it's surrounded by several parks and independent shops and restaurants - the list is long but to name a few - Le Fromagerie, Da Mario, Finks, Trullo, Farang, Primeur, not forgetting Season's & Blossoms at the end of Sotheby Road for fresh fruit and veg and who provide a sense of community. I've spent many a summer's day at Clissold Park, met friends at a favourite coffee shop, Le Peche Mignon and attended Ashtanga yoga classes at Yogahome in Stoke Newington. There's a great night culture also, with Bank of Friendship a 2 minute walk away and plenty of bars and restaurants a short distance to Angel or Dalston, depending what you're looking for! I will miss Sotheby Road immensely and can highly recommend putting down roots in this area.
