Full description
A spacious two-bedroom, split-level apartment located on the upper floors of this sought-after, purpose-built block, offering 844sq ft of well-designed living space in one of Highbury's prime locations. The apartment features a large reception room that opens onto a private west-facing balcony, a separate dining area adjoining a modern kitchen that was newly fitted in 2021, and ample storage throughout. On the upper level, you will find a family bathroom and two generously sized double bedrooms. The current owner also installed a new boiler in 2021.
Otley House benefits from its proximity to Gillespie Park, an award-winning nature reserve, and is just a short walk from the vibrant Highbury Barn and Highbury Fields, home to a variety of cafés, bars, and local amenities. The property is exceptionally well-connected, with Arsenal Underground Station (Piccadilly Line) just minutes away and easy access to Finsbury Park and Highbury & Islington Stations (Victoria Line), making it ideal for commuting to the City and the West End.
Owners insights:
What do you love most about your home/property?
The flat is spacious and airy with an amazing amount of light at all times of the day in all rooms. Although it is a 2 bedroom flat, I love that it feels like a house due to multi-level living and the amount of storage that it also brings. The terrace is big enough to entertain in but cosy enough for easy upkeep as well as perfect to sit and relax in.
Why are you selling?
We are moving out of such a central location so that we can have more space and a garden for our expanding family.
What do you love about the area?
There are so many things I love about this area! There are a wealth of restaurants, shops, and pubs nearby, cafes (Finks Gillespie is awesome and 2 min away), and excellent transport links - Arsenal tube (3 min away) for the Piccadilly line, Finsbury Park tube (8 min away) for Victoria/Picadilly line as well as mainline train services to Cambridge and also to Gatwick and Brighton. We are also next to the Gillespie Ecological centre park, Finsbury Park, and a short walk to Clissold park as well as the Highbury fields park. The flat is in the catchment of three outstanding primary schools and Arsenal fans (or haters) would enjoy the hubbub when its home game time due to its proximity to the Emirates stadium. The community is very friendly as well!
