The area is well served by excellent local schools and beautiful open spaces including Clissold Park, Abney Park and the Wetlands.
What do you love most about your home/property?
Our flat is well-located but feels so quiet in the bedrooms to the back of the building. It really is the best of city living. The light in our flat was what drew us to it. It's been a sanctuary for us. It's a place we have both felt very safe and comfortable, particularly as it held the heat well in winter too!
Why are you selling?
We have loved owning this flat. It's been a dream first home for us. We're selling to return home to Ireland to be closer to family. If only we could take the flat in our suitcases!
What do you love about the area?
Our neighbours have been so lovely, so we'll miss that community feel! The connections into central London and to Stansted airport are so easy with the overground at Rectory Road. The nearby parks are amazing, West Hackney park is on Manse Road, where community meet ups are held in summer, and Hackney Downs park is just around the corner too. There's a weekly farmers market at West Hackney church, located two minutes' walk up the street. Bake Street coffee is a few minutes' walk and Church street is nearby for Sunday strolls around boutique shops.
