Comments from the owner:

What do you love most about your home? We love the mixture of the bright, modern interior styling of the flat, alongside the period character of the late Victorian exterior. There is also plenty of natural light from both North and South aspects and the road is extremely quiet both during the day and at night time, particularly since the introduction of new traffic routing preventing through-traffic. We love the views out of all windows, the front looking on to the beautiful tree lined street which is lovely during all 4 seasons and the greenery of the immaculately kept gardens from the rear windows.

Why are you moving? We are moving to relocate outside of London.

What do you love about the area? We love the location on Ockendon Road, a quiet, safe and friendly tree-lined street in the East Canonbury conservation area, in the heart of De Beauvoir town. There is a genuine sense of community amongst residents, who have formed their own residents association, have their own page ockendonroad.wordpress.com and in the past have held events such as street parties and outdoor social gatherings, as well as twice yearly "play street" days for children. The road is in close proximity to fantastic local businesses such as the De Beauvoir Deli and Trade coffee shop, as well as popular local pubs such as The Hunter S, The Scolt Head, The Talbot and De Beavoir Arms. The property is surrounded by green spots for spending time outdoors, including the beautiful rose filled De Beauvoir Square Gardens, Rosemary Gardens, Shoreditch Park and Clissold Park which are all within easy walking distance. London Fields (along with its many cafes, drinking spots and restaurants) and Haggerston Park also also within half an hour's walk. There are some fantastic restaurants right on the doorstep (Salut!, Sweet Thursday, Sutton & Sons) as well as in the nearby areas of Angel, Dalston, Haggerston and Highbury, all within walking distance (Black Axe Mangal, Berber & Q, Ottolenghi, Smokehouse, Trullo, to name just a few!). The property is well connected to the City and within walkable distance to Moorgate, St Pauls, Kings Cross and Shoreditch, with fast bus routes to each leaving from nearby stops. The location is also within easy reach of Essex Road train station (with direct trains to Old Street and Moorgate), Highbury & Islington underground station, as well as Canonbury, Dalston Kingsland and Dalston Junction overground stations, giving fantastic coverage of both central and wider London. The Regents Canal walk/cycle towpath is accessible from the end of Southgate Road.
