Owner's Comments
What do you love most about your home?
I love the fact that our flat is in a beautiful historic building and therefore has so much character – especially due to the large arched windows and exposed original brickwork. It’s also really spacious with a lot of built in cupboard space, having similar square footage to a lot of two bedroom houses. This has been fantastic during lockdown as we’ve been able to set up a home office in our spare room – although it’s got it’s own ensuite bathroom and would easily fit a double bed if you wanted to use it as an extra bedroom.

What do you love about the area?
The whole Royal Arsenal area is a unique blend of history, community and convenience. The buildings are full of character, green space and a deep sense of history. The community is fantastic – there are lots of local events, a farmers market and a huge range of options ranging from residents groups to bootcamps if you would like to get fit or meet other local people. There’s excellent local pubs, restaurants, gyms, cleaning companies, a concierge to collect your parcels, zipcar services, a gp, a dentist, a café, nurseries etc. all within 5 mins walk, and plans to develop the area even further (for example, by turning the old firepower museum into a new theatre venue). Further options can be found in Greenwich and Blackheath which are a short train/riverboat ride away. The transport links are also excellent. Woolwich Arsenal Station (under 10 mins walk away) has Thameslink, Southeastern and DLR services with regular direct routes to Charing Cross, London Bridge, Kings Cross St Pancras, Blackfriars, Bank, Canning Town (for easy access to the Jubilee) and Cannon Street. The flat is also about 5 mins walk away from the soon-to-be completed new crossrail station, with further shortened travel times to Canary Wharf (7 mins), Farringdon (16 mins), Bond Street (21 mins) and Heathrow Airport (56 mins) anticipated soon.
