What do you love most about your home?

We love the traditional red-brick styling of the Warner estate and our flat is particularly bright and airy. We get glorious sunshine in the front living room for morning coffee and then the same in the southwest facing garden in the afternoon when it's time for entertaining, barbeques and tending the vegetable patch! We're keen gardeners and our upstairs neighbour has no interest in his side of the garden. So we've had the rare luxury of being able to cultivate it all in the 13 years that we've been there, whereas most Warner flats have to share.

Why are you moving?

We're relocating to Brighton for a change of scenery, to be closer to family and friends and to pursue some sea hobbies!

What do you love about the area?

Lloyd's Park is beautiful. As well as the William Morris Museum (always good on a rainy day for a wander and a coffee) it has an excellent nursery set in lush grounds with a very impressive kids play area comprising tree houses, ponds and even a secret concealed entrance from the adjacent playground. Many happy hours have been spent picnicking, climbing trees, bike-riding and foraging for wild plums (they make particularly fine jam) and pears in the summer.

Restaurants and pubs nearby are too numerous to mention but particular highlights for us would be The Bell for its jazz and roasts, Ye Olde Rose & Crown for its quiz nights and theatre and The Nag's Head in Walthamstow Village for its particularly pleasant garden and obsession with cats! Having Epping Forest and Walthamstow Marshes so close are also major bonuses if you're into bike riding and exercise and like to prioritise spending a lot of your free time in green spaces and countryside.
