Full description

This semi-detached late Victorian house has been excellently extended and refurbished by the current owners over the last 3 years while retaining a great selection of period features and character in the home.

With 3 large double bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite) and an office space split over the top two floors this will make an excellent family home. The ground floor features a spacious yet cosy front reception room with a wealth of period features including a cast iron feature fire with working gas flame, wood floors, high ceilings, bay window and decorative cornicing. Leading through to the kitchen the dining room boasts another great selection of period features. The kitchen has been tastefully refurbished with wonderful attention to detail such as the William Morris design tiles. To the rear of the house is the second reception - an excellent entertaining space flooded with light and leading directly on to the large South-facing rear garden.

Situated mid-way between the Wetlands and Lloyd Park and with Higham Hill Park around the corner, the house has a great selection of weekend strolls within easy reach. Later in the day you can find yourself on the nearby 'Walthamstow beer mile' sampling the best of both sides of what Walthamstow has to offer.

What the seller says:

What do you love most about your home?

There isn't anything that I don't love about this house! From its Victorian fireplaces to its high ceilings, from the South facing garden to the space! This house, and each one of its rooms, has character and it is a little oasis of colour and calm in the heart of London.

Why are you moving?

I am sad to go, but I am moving to be closer to family.

What do you love about the area?

I love this little area of Walthamstow; it is like its own village with all the essential amenities you need on your doorstep: Post office, Co-op, cafes, hairdressers, barbers, and a pub. In fact, the Cafe 311 also does catering and have made the most amazing spreads made for my birthday parties. And Tammy is the best hairdresser I have ever had! Furthermore, with the number of breweries on Blackhorse Lane ever-increasing, you are never far away from a cheeky pint or two; my favourite is Exhale and the staff there are truly brilliant! For those who have dogs, there are two dog parks within walking distance, which are great to meet people and let the pups have a good run around. There is also the market on a Saturday which is ideal to grab some delicious snacks whilst walking the dogs.
