What do you love most about your home?
I love the original features, many of which remain, including the beautiful panelled doors and cast iron fireplaces. I love my dual aspect living room at the rear of the property which looks out onto the West facing garden, it's very peaceful & the light is fantastic. I love the neighbourhood, very friendly and convenient.
Why are you moving?
I am moving so my son and I can have more space, and a guest room. He is also desperate to live somewhere with stairs!
What do you love about the area?
I love being so close to Lloyds park, which is a fantastic open space, along with William Morris gallery, it's play areas and cafe that serves fantastic gelato. It's convenient for transport links, with frequent buses into Walthamstow centre if you don't want the 20 minute walk, but quick to access the North circular & M11 in the car. Two fantastic pubs close by, the dog & duck and the Bell, which both serve great food and have outside spaces.
The local community is very friendly, including shop keepers and neighbours. It's rare I go out without seeing someone to say hello to! It's a very family friendly area too, we were very lucky to have so many good & outstanding schools close by and numerous things to do with children.
Boasting heaps of original features including wood panelled doors and windows and stunning cast iron fireplaces, the property offers well planned living space, sympathetically modernised and well appointed throughout. Accommodation comprises entrance hall with understairs storage, leading into the bright and spacious reception room with feature fireplace, wood flooring, quiet rear aspect over the rear garden, and ample space for relaxing, entertaining and dining. The separate kitchen, with door out to the garden, comprises a modern range of matching wall and base units with work surfaces incorporating inset sink unit and further space for appliances. There are two well sized double bedrooms, each with original fireplaces, plus a stylish family bathroom with white three piece suite and elegant tiling.
The property is conveniently located within walking distance of Walthamstow Central and Wood Street stations, as well as regular bus routes, all providing excellent connections into Central London, the City and the West End. The area is well served by an array of fashionable pubs, bars, restaurants and amenities, as well as cinema and restaurants at 'The Scene', excellent local schools and the beautiful open spaces of Lloyd Park - home to the famous 'William Morris' Gallery. Walthamstow Village is also close-by for a further range of stylish eateries, pubs and bars.
