It has some brilliant local Asian food stores which sell good quality and fresh products, as well as having all local amenities such as supermarkets, and all manner of shops a stone's throw away. Plumstead station is 5 minutes walk away, and it's only 20 minutes walk to Woolwich - which has even more shops and facilities, pubs and restaurants, as well as a DLR station, and a tube station from 2021, giving speedy access to central London. t's close enough to central London to feel part of the big city, but has a great urban vibe all of its own.
