Accommodation comprises entrance hallway, eat-in kitchen with green glass tiling, modern units, an eye-level oven and a separate utility area, with matching green tiles and a sink. There are two good-sized double bedrooms, a bathroom and best of all a living room with large bay sash windows and a glorious imposing fireplace as the central focus. The flat is situated on the second floor of the period building and the many attractions include sash windows, high skirting boards, plaster coving, wooden flooring and original doors. The flat also has access to bright communal gardens at the rear of the building, perfect for summer barbecues.
The property is very conveniently located in the heart of vibrant Brixton, within a short walk of the tube and railway stations, providing excellent links into Central London. There are numerous regular bus routes, as well as shops, bars, restaurants and amenities, in addition to indoor markets and the site of the famous O2 Brixton Academy music venue.
From the moment I saw it, I loved this flat. It's always light and airy, with high ceilings and period features like the fanlight, the wooden floors and comfortably sized rooms. The feature fireplace is always fun! I've enjoyed living here and entertaining friends - they always say 'what a lovely flat!' I started working from home 10 years ago and decided to make the front bedroom a study, with a full size double bed for visitors easy to drop down in no time. The back bedroom is also a good sized double. My little secret is the utility room, so good to have somewhere to hide things as well as a place for the laundry.
I'm moving, reluctantly, to be on the ground floor as I'm not getting any younger.
