Full description

Under Offer in 7 Days! A wonderfully bright and larger than average 1-bedroom flat in an iconic portered building with front door situated up its own set of stairs, situated close to Battersea Square and the River Thames.

With a principal bedroom, a large and bright reception room, bathroom with over-tub shower, and kitchen / breakfast room, this flat is particularly well appointed for first-time buyers, investors, or those searching for a pied-a-terre. The property also benefits from an on-site porter, top floor location with lift and communal gardens.

For leisure, the acclaimed Battersea Square is moments from your front door and offers fantastic options for eating and drinking, including the acclaimed Gordon Ramsay London House. For open green spaces, Battersea Park is within easy walking distance, whilst the smaller Fred Wells Gardens with tennis courts is just across the road. There is also a wider array of shops and restaurants to be found on the King's Road in Chelsea. The Thames Path is a couple of minutes away by foot.

For transport, a variety of bus routes are available whilst direct trains into central London and to national destinations (including Gatwick airport) are available from Clapham Junction, which is a short walk away. There is also a Santander Cycles docking station closeby and on-street permit parking.

Words from the owner

What do you love most about your home?
All the rooms in the flat are wonderfully light and being on the fourth floor we've got tree tops just outside the windows. It's a really lovely place to be - the living room is a big space and the layout gives it loads of character. The staircase up to our flat gives a bit of a gardening opportunity! and it's private and quiet. The estate is friendly and runs well with lovely shared outdoor space and being the near the river is a bonus. It's very easy to get to different parts of London from here but the local area offers loads as well without going too far.

Why are you moving?
This has been our first home and we have been very happy here. We are moving to find a place with 2 bedrooms and are hoping to stay in the area.

What do you love about the area?
Battersea Square has fantastic cafes and restaurants: Mazar (has lovely staff); Melanzane (amazing pizza!); coffee truck (run by a charity called Regenerate giving young people opportunities) outside St Mary's church. Fred Wells Gardens are just opposite with a municipal tennis court. It's easy walking distance to Battersea Park, Clapham Common and Wandsworth Park; to the Kings Road; and the shops and restaurants on Northcote Road. You can get almost anywhere very easily from Clapham Junction. So, it feels like a perfect spot, close and easy to get into central London, with everything you'd want also on your doorstep.
