Full description
Unexpectedly back on the market!
With a large principal bedroom, spacious bathroom, and open plan living-kitchen space with plenty of natural light, this flat on St John's Hill is well-suited to first-time buyers, investors and young professionals. Additional benefits include double-glazed windows, plenty of storage, and low running costs. Well thought-out design with both single and double doors means the flat offers flexibility to be more or less open plan according to requirements.
The green spaces of Wandsworth Common are within easy walking distance, as are the restaurants, shops and bars of Northcote Road, Clapham Junction and Battersea Rise. Clapham Junction station is a four-minute walk away, with regular trains into central London (5 minutes) and Gatwick Airport (40 minutes, 2 stops).
Day-to-day practicalities are taken care of by a Sainsbury's Local, M&S Food Hall and Waitrose & Partners a short walk away, whilst an on-street parking permit is available through the council for less than £150 a year.
Words from the owner
What do you love most about your home?
It's just so convenient and compact. It's not too big and it's not too small. And it's easy to clean and maintain. I love the bathroom; it's great to have such a space in there to do washing and drying, with a washing machine hidden away in the large utility cupboard rather than in the kitchen! The whole flat is very light too which is a big plus for me. It's perfect and I am going to really miss living here.
Why are you moving?
Heading back up North to be nearer the parents.
What do you love about the area?
What I love about this flat is that I am in the middle of everything. I can pop out for a very good coffee, or a haircut, or if I've forgotten something from Sainsbury's. I can walk to Wandsworth Common, Spencer Park and Clapham Common, or take a short cycle to Battersea Park. Ten minutes' walk and I'm at the Thames Path. Or I can jump in the car and make my way down the A3 to Box Hill and beyond for some hiking. Before Covid, I travelled to our office at the top of Charing Cross Rd and did it within 30 - 35 minutes most days which is super quick. The Junction is so well connected for tubes and trains anywhere. And when heading back up North, I can be at Euston within 35 minutes too.
