A contemporary ground floor 1-bed apartment in excellent condition, located just west of Battersea Park.

With a principal bedroom with fitted storage, main bathroom, and open plan living/kitchen space leading onto a private south-facing terrace, this home is particularly well appointed for young professionals or individuals searching for a city pied-a-terre. The property also benefits from underfloor heating throughout, access to secure cycle storage, and electronic key fob access.

For leisure, the open green space of Battersea Park is accessible in 5 minutes by foot, whilst the mixture of independent and well-known restaurants, cafes, and bars of Battersea Square are also easily reached. For a wider variety of shops and amenities, Chelsea and the King's Road are just across the bridge and easily walkable.

Day-to-day practicalities are taken care of by a parade of local stores on Battersea Bridge Road, whilst direct transport into central London is available from Clapham Junction and Battersea Park stations, along with various bus routes, and close-by Santander Cycles docking stations.

Some words from the owner

What do you love most about your home?
The flat feels spacious - surprisingly so - it's actually designed to be wheelchair accessible so nothing feels cramped. We were really drawn to the wall to wall glass sliding door panels that fill the full width of the lounge, which allow so much light through the south facing windows, a real bonus since working from home more. It's also lovely in the summer to have the doors wide open. The other thing that really drew us to this home is that it's amazingly soundproofed (sometimes we're surprised by how quiet it is - we hear less traffic noise at night here than from our quiet hometown!)

We couldn't imagine not having the built-in storage cupboards in the bedroom and hallway. A lifesaver for storing endless amounts of outdoor climbing and kitesurfing gear for those weekends away.

Massive fan of the flat's efficiency too - we usually don't have any need to put the heating on until December, which means our monthly bills are pretty small.

Why are you moving?
Moving out of the city to be closer to work and cut down the commute time. As well as gaining more space so we can grow our family.

What do you love about the area?
We love being in a more residential part of London, but still feeling central. To know we can get to the Kings Road in under 15 mins by foot is such a plus for the shops and restaurants there.

The main thing that drew us to Battersea, 5 years ago, was the park. It's such a great outdoor space, and we make use of it all year round. The Old English Garden is a hidden gem inside the park and is a great spot to go chill out. We find it never gets as busy as the Royal Parks which is nice. It feels like our own slice of green space for our small community here - literally a 5 min walk from the flat.

We also love Battersea Square, full of bars and eateries where you can grab a coffee and spend a chilled weekend, followed by a walk along the Thames Path nearby. We're far enough from the tube that we don't have a lot of footfall past our flat, yet there's a bus stop minutes away on the main road which can help connect your journey to central London in 30 minutes.

There are loads of great places to go out well within walking distance of the flat. The main recommendations would be Gails - great pastries, coffee and brunch (Battersea Sq, 5 mins), The Woodman Pub - cosy pub with wood burning stove, amazing food, especially the pizzas (Battersea High St, 10 mins), Bayley & Sage - when you fancy that top notch home cooked meal with artisan farmers produce (Parkgate Road, 5 mins), The Nutbourne - when you don't fancy cooking! (Parkgate Road, 5 mins) and for an amazing Indian takeaway you have Holy Cow (Battersea Bridge Road, 2 mins) - everything you need is within easy reach which we love.
