Words from the owner

What do you love most about your home?

I love the big windows that go up to the ceiling on both sides of the living space - in summer there's an amazing breeze, and I love watching the sunset over the garden as I'm cooking dinner. I chose this apartment because it is larger, has better storage, and is more insulated than most Victorian flats - being top floor it's lovely and warm in winter.

The garden has been a lifesaver during lockdown! Many a picnic was held, and I have a netball hoop and BBQ in the storage unit for sunny days. I'm also a big fan of saving over £500 a month vs paying rent! I used to rent a flat just around the corner, and have been able to save so much money living in my own home.

Why are you moving?
I'm relocating for work, but will still be visiting the area all the time!

What do you love about the area?

Everything is on your doorstep here - if I'm halfway through cooking and have run out of milk, I can pop across the road and be back in a minute. I'm currently working from home, so every day I do a 5km walk up and around Clapham Common for some fresh air, stopping in at the local butcher or fishmonger on the way home. The local coffee shop, Sendero, is fabulous, and the new bakery does great brunches.

Now that lockdown 2 is over, I'll be heading to the local pub for their amazing steaks and friendly service, to Union Station for yoga, and to Battersea Power Station for some wines by the river. But the thing I'm looking forward to the most is getting that quick train from Clapham Junction to Gatwick Airport and jumping on a plane to somewhere exotic!
