Comments from the owner:
What do you love most about your home?
The light! The huge windows at both ends of the living/dining room are brilliant and it never feels dark or dull. You get great sunsets out the back window and sometimes you'll see parakeets flying at the front. We love the mid century modern features - the parquet flooring we discovered under the carpet and restored, the original living room door with its diamond windows - and that it feels so calm and quiet despite how close you are to Sutton town centre.
Why are you moving?
We're moving out of London so our three-year-old is closer to his grandparents and auntie. Annoyingly we can't take the parquet, that door or the new kitchen with us.
What do you love about the area?
Sutton is absolutely the best of both worlds, with countryside on your doorstep, a great local community, and everything you want from the capital a quick train ride away. It's a 10-minute walk to Banstead Common and a real feeling of being in the countryside, and a 10-minute walk to Sutton centre and the train station getting you into Victoria, Wimbledon and London Bridge in minutes. We've loved exploring the family-owned restaurants and the great local (Shinner and Sudtone), and its been a fantastic place to start a family.
Accommodation with private entrance on the ground floor with stairs rising to the first floor, leading into the bright and spacious reception room with stunning parquet flooring running through into the separate kitchen area. The reception offers wonderful light and airy space for relaxing and entertaining. The separate kitchen comprises a modern range of matching wall and base units with work surfaces and metro-tiling, incorporating inset sink unit, induction hob with overhead extractor and electric oven below, and further space for appliances. To the upper floor, there are two well sized double bedrooms, each with generous inbuilt storage, plus a stylish family bathroom with white three piece suite and elegant tiling. Property includes a private garage.
The property is conveniently located within easy access of Sutton station providing excellent fast and frequent links into Central London, as well as numerous regular bus routes offering connections to the surrounding area. Sutton town centre itself is also close-by with an array of shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and amenities, as well as supermarkets, cinema and leisure facilities. The area is also well served by good local schools and open spaces including delightful Banstead Common.
