Owners Comments:

What do you love most about your home? When I bought this flat 16 years ago, the big windows sealed the deal for me. The front of the flat is almost 3/4 glass, which means the flat always feels light, airy and spacious. You look out onto the trees of Grove Lane, which is great when you want to escape the hustle and bustle of South London life, and great for people watching when sitting in the kitchen to eat or having a coffee in the morning. The wood panels on the front of the buildings are a unique feature in this part of London. They are considered a real trendy feature, so I've been told!

It is also a very secure and safe, and there is a real community feel on this small estate. There is a true diversity in the Harfield Gardens community, in terms of age and ethnicity, and there are lovely green communal spaces for everyone to enjoy.  The flat stays very warm throughout the winter, and often doesn't need the heating to be on!

Why are you moving? I am moving to the countryside for a slower pace of life, with more nature around me, for me and my dog!

What do you love about the area? It is one of the most happening parts of London. A stone's throw from Camberwell's famous Church Street, East Dulwich's Lordship Lane, Brixton and Peckham, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to eating and drinking out. This part of London has managed to hold on to lots of independent shops, too, and there is a vibrant creative community. There are beautiful green spaces everywhere - Ruskin Park, Peckham Park, Dulwich Park, for example, and Dulwich Woods is also nearby. Denmark Hill's best feature is that it is connected to everywhere in London. From the station you can get directly to Shoreditch High Street; a few stops into the City via Farringdon straight to Kings Cross (which connects you to the rest of Europe, of course). Also, London Victoria (in one stop on the fast train) and Clapham Junction within 3.

Property Details:

Accommodation comprises entrance hall with excellent inbuilt storage, leading to the living room or kitchen at the front of the property. The floor to ceiling windows in both rooms fills the property with an abundance of natural light. The kitchen area, with space for dining, comprises a range of matching wall and base units with works surfaces, incorporating inset sink unit, electric hob with overhead extractor and electric oven below, and further space for appliances. There are two well sized bedrooms, plus a family bathroom with a white three-piece suite.

The property is very conveniently located within just a short walk of Denmark Hill station, with East Dulwich station also nearby, each providing excellent links into Central London. The area is also well served by numerous regular bus routes connecting the surrounding area and City. Camberwell is close-by offering a leisure centre, and a range of shops and amenities, with East Dulwich also within easy reach providing an eclectic array of shops, cafes, delicatessens, bars, and restaurants. The lovely open space of Ruskin Park is also just a short stroll away.
