Comments from the owner:

What do you love most about your home?

We immediately loved the beautiful light the flat gets. The windows are large and it always feels bright and uplifting. But the garden is what really sealed it for us - it's surprisingly large, and bursting with colour and life, including lovely mature bushes and trees. With no houses behind it, it feels both private and very peaceful. We spent lockdown there, enjoying the sun it gets all day long, watching the squirrels play, and listening to the birds and bumblebees, and felt incredibly lucky. We also really love that each room is a good size and well-shaped, which makes the flat feel spacious and airy. Finally, it is a lovely building and everyone else who lives in it is honestly so friendly and kind, they are the nicest neighbours we've ever had!

What do you love about the area?

After you've taken an autumn afternoon walk in Greenwich Park, and stopped to see the view over the city, no other park in London really comes close. We never get tired of it. Even apart from Greenwich Park, this area is incredibly green, with Blackheath, the Pleasaunce, and even the lovely garden of Mycenae House which is just one street over. Though it is quiet and green, the transport links are really great, with Westcombe Park rail station a 10 minute walk away and North Greenwich jubilee line an easy bus ride or cycle away. Pro-tip: to beat rush hour, wait for the Jubilee line train which starts from North Greenwich - you're guaranteed a seat!

On Sundays, we love walking over the heath to Blackheath village to shop at the farmers' market, or wandering through the park to Greenwich to grab fresh churros from the market and walk along the Thames foreshore. We like to start Saturday mornings with brunch at Jade, the local French bakery. And a burger from the Royal Standard pub, our local, is always a good idea.
