What do you love most about your home?
We fell in love with the flat (aka the "rooftop haven") as soon as we saw it... it immediately felt like home. We love how it is bathed in natural light, with characterful period features, generous room sizes and its setting within a beautiful period building with fantastic views of greenery and distant Victorian chimney stacks. We love the spaciousness of the second double bedroom in addition to the generous master, which seemed a rare find. It is huge and makes the space really versatile, whether you're looking to have a guest bedroom, home office or bedroom for children (and all their paraphernalia). The flat is really well proportioned, with a great layout and plenty of space for storage (under eaves storage has always been particularly handy). Summer here is wonderful and so bright and airy; Winter is cosy and quiet. It has always felt like a calm, safe, tranquil, private retreat. We have some fantastic neighbours and have loved making use of the large communal garden - great for children! It has been a really special first home for us.

Why are you moving?
We are relocating outside of London to obtain more space for our growing family, and to be closer to family and friends in Hampshire.

What do you love about the area?
We have been so lucky - to be nestled in the desirable Lawrie Park Triangle and so well connected by bus, train and Overground links, to be able to get into central London within 20 minutes, yet to have so much green space around us. The flat has very close proximity to the beautiful Crystal Palace park (great for young families and parkrunners, lovely artisan food markets every Sunday, the delicious Brown & Green Life café, the farm, pedalos on the lake not to mention the Crystal Palace dinosaurs!), it is 5 minutes walking distance to our two favourite local pubs (The Greyhound and The Bridge House) and all the independent cafés (The Convivial and Sugahill are particular favourites), coffee houses and amenities of Sydenham High Street.
