Comments from the owner:
What do you love most about your home? The high ceilings and large sash bay windows that let light in all day make it a really pleasant place to be. Having recently refurbished the flooring and kitchen I have enjoyed using the modern contemporary features within a period home. The LTN means it is really peaceful, you can even hear the church bells ring.
Why are you moving? I have lived in London all my adult life, and owned this home for 13 years. But it is now time for me to move out of the city and back to the countryside nearer my parents.
What do you love about the area? This home is perfectly located, the best of all worlds. Sitting next to vibrant Brixton with the undercover market with its wonderful restaurants and bars, with the train and tube station nearby (where you always get a seat!). It is also just minutes from central Herne Hill, and Brockwell Park. I have loved going to the Lido in the summer for a swim and the farmers markets for the best coffee and cake on a Sunday. As a keen runner I can also be in Dulwich Park or Clapham Common in 15mins and have loved exploring all the green areas nearby.
Accommodation comprises entrance hall with inbuilt storage cupboards, leading into the bright and spacious reception room with beautiful tall front triple aspect bay, and ample space for relaxing and entertaining. The separate kitchen, with quiet rear aspect, comprises a sleek range of matching wall and base units with work surfaces incorporating inset sink unit, induction hob with overhead extractor and electric oven, and further space for built-in appliances. There is a spacious double bedroom and a stylish bathroom with modern suite and elegant tiling.
The property is enviably located within easy access of stations at both Herne Hill and Brixton, with numerous regular bus routes also providing excellent connections to the surrounding area. Herne Hill offers an eclectic range of cafes, bars, restaurants and amenities, with Brixton also close-by providing further shops, vibrant bars, and eateries, as well as indoor market and the famous site of the O2 Brixton Academy music venue. Lovely Brockwell Park, with it's famous Lido, is just a short walk away, with neighbouring Dulwich Village just slightly further afield for a selection of exclusive amenities, the site of Dulwich Picture Gallery and a wonderful family park.
